The Irish Boxer Dog Club was founded in 1943 and is the second oldest Boxer Breed Club in the UK. We hold a Championship Show each year in conjunction with Belfast Dog Show Society in September, thus allowing exhibitors to compete for two CC's over the one weekend. With the health of the breed being a primary concern, the club has endeavoured in recent years to ensure that a "Qualified Cardiologist" is present at our Championship Show to conduct Heart Testing. Due to the limited number of qualified Cardiologists in Ireland this has proved very popular with exhibitors. Plaes note you do not have to be competing at the show to have your dog/s tested.

We also run an annual Breed Open Show, which in recent years has been held in conjunction with Portadown & Banbridge in April.

The Club also run Match Nights on the second Monday of each month at Redburn Community Centre in Hollywood, which attracts a large and varied selection of breeds from throughout the local dog show fraternity. Our Match Nights are an informal evening which always manage to raise a laugh or two and are a great opportunity to socailise up and coming new puppies. To finish the year of the Club organises an Annual Supermatch, a prestigous event at which the Match Winners, Junior Handlers and Best Boxers from each month compete.

Boxer owners, exhibitors and euthusiasts from all breeds are welcome to attend any events held by the Club, its a great way to socialise your dogs and meet people with the same interests.

We hope you enjoy browsing the website and will call back regularly for updates about the club and its activities.
